Description

Spanish red thyme traditionally grows in the southern most regions of Spain. It’s a small aromatic herb from the mint family mostly used for culinary purposes. Harvesting takes place during the summer months, between late June and August. In recent years, Spanish annual production of red thyme oil has varied between 12-15 tonnes.

Red thyme oil has a sweet, green odour and is used throughout the flavour and fragrance industry. It is also commonly used for many medicinal and aromatherapy purposes. Thyme contains large amounts of thymol and is one of the strongest antioxidants known in the market.

Some of the documented benefits of thyme oil is that it supports the immune, respiratory, digestive, nervous, and other body systems.
